Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF)

Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) is an independent grant-making organization governed by a voluntary board of trustees. The Foundation was formed as a trust under Bangladesh law in September 1997 and registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh in April 1998.

Bangladesh Freedom Foundation invests in programs that work towards freeing people from poverty, ignorance and oppression. The Foundation does not support any initiative or organization whose work is contrary to the principles of equality and respect for all religious, cultural and ethnic groups. It does not support any form of religious, ethnic, sectarian, racial discrimination or extremism, nor partisan political agendas.Bangladesh Freedom Foundation operates from an endowment grant provided by the Ford Foundation and welcomes collaborative grant-making with institutions that share similar goals and interests. Bangladesh Freedom Foundation

Five new trustees of Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) attended its meeting at BFF office at Mohammadpur on February 15, 2014. The meeting was chaired by Syed Manzur Elahi, former adviser to a caretaker government and chairman of the BFF trustee board.

Five-day long science camp ends at Daffodil International University (DIU) campus at Ashulia, Dhaka. The program was jointly organized by Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) and Society for the Popularization of Science, Bangladesh (SPSB). A number of 51 selected young scientists from across the country participated at the camp. Prof. Lutfor Rahman, Vice Chancellor of DIU, Habib Hasnat, DMD of First Security Islami Bank, Azom Khan, Head of Marketing, First Security Islami Bank, Munir Hasan, Vise-president of SPSB were present on the ending ceremony.

Started on April 05, 2013, Four month-long BFF-SAMAKAL science debate contest concluded its journey on July 06, 2013. The Grand finale was held at Dhanmondi Government Boy’s High school auditorium on July 05-06, 2013. The major objective of this contest was to promote and popularize science through the participation at debate of students of higher secondary schools in the country.
