Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF)

Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) is an independent grant-making organization governed by a voluntary board of trustees. The Foundation was formed as a trust under Bangladesh law in September 1997 and registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh in April 1998.

Bangladesh Freedom Foundation invests in programs that work towards freeing people from poverty, ignorance and oppression. The Foundation does not support any initiative or organization whose work is contrary to the principles of equality and respect for all religious, cultural and ethnic groups. It does not support any form of religious, ethnic, sectarian, racial discrimination or extremism, nor partisan political agendas.Bangladesh Freedom Foundation operates from an endowment grant provided by the Ford Foundation and welcomes collaborative grant-making with institutions that share similar goals and interests. Bangladesh Freedom Foundation

BFF organized a ‘Motivation Training to Improve the Professional Skill of the selected Science Teachers of secondary schools of Kurigram, Bagerhat and Rajshahi districts on June 13-15, 2015 in collaboration with Centre for Capacity Building of Volunteer Organisation (CCBVO). Rajshahi Teachers’ Training College (RTTC) provided academic support to the program with their training and teaching resources.

To promote and popularize science among students of secondary students BFF-SAMAKAL National Science debate is going to be launched on 3 April 2015. A MoU between BFF and Samakal has been signed on February 21, 2015 at Sakamal office. Eminent Journalist and the editor of Daily Samakal Mr. Golam Sarwer and Executive Director of BFF Mr. Sazzadur Rahman chowdhury signed the contact on behalf of their organizations.

Bangladesh Freedom Foundation organized a two-day long Inter School Science Fair at Uttara Campus of Scholastica from 27 to 28 February 2015. , Scholastica and Daily Samakal were the co-organiser of the event.  Around 150 science projects were displayed by the students of English and Bangla medium high schools of Dhaka city and some rural schools from district level.
